The Summer Blues

ORIGINAL BLOG FROM THE HIGH VIBE OIL LIFE:

Usually folks have the winter blues, right? They're lacking sunshine, experience short days, and shiver in cold weather. But summer is all about having fun in the sun (safely with sunscreen and hats!), relaxing at beaches, hanging out at parties....right?

Yes it can be. The kids are off from school, and we made it to from Texas to Disney in LA for an excellent trip, loaded with new memories. But yet, for me, there's something lingering in the air. It's the Summer Blues.

When I don't know what exactly is going on, I reach for my essential oils. I use Balance to re-center, and Cypress to circulate the stagnant energy that has accumulated. Not only does Cypress help with blood flow and circulation (which is why I don't fly without it), it also helps with transitions and that uneasy feeling you have in times of uncertainty.

"Go with the flow" is what describes the energetic properties of Cypress. Without flow, there cannot be transformation. Movement and momentum are necessary for growth and change; and luckily, Cypress can trigger what is stuck. It doesn't just jerk that constricted feeling out; it's gentle and persevering. It nudges you. And the best thing is, you don't have to know what is stuck. You don't have to label it. If you don't have Cypress on you try AromaTouch.

There's a saying in my tradition that if you move one step towards God, He moves 10 steps towards you. Note that you've got to "move" that one step. Signs and symbols won't fall from the sky unless you indicate to the Universe that you're looking for guidance. Your one step could be a prayer (done consistently) or a good deed (done consistently)....it doesn't matter. It can be as simple as applying Cypress on your heart or any other grounding oil daily to the bottom of your feet, with an intention to invite positive change.

Done consistently, these "one steps" are your ask's; they are your signals to the Universe that you're looking for something else; they are your communication vehicle. According to many spiritual traditions, life "on the outside" is usually reflecting what's inside of you. So, if you want a change, make a move.
