ORIGINAL BLOG POST FROM THE HIGH VIBE OIL LIFE:
Reflections, Essential Oils, Getting Older but Wiser
So it's another birthday, and reflection is in order. I'm in a state of fasting, from sunrise to sunset, no food and no water, and my mind is surprisingly clear. I've applied Balance essential oil to the bottom of my feet to ground me, and Manuka Touch oil to my abdomen. In my diffuser I've got Blue Tansy essential oil going, known as the "oil of inspired action". On top of that, I applied Myrrh essential oil to some flaky, broken skin on my fingers.
Not a day goes by when the these "gifts of the earth" aren't used. In the morning my son got some On Guard internally in a softgel when I noticed he had a case of the sniffles, and my daughter applied In Tune behind her ears for focus (final exams week, eeeek!). My husband is doing paperwork in the study room and has spearmint and orange going in the diffuser there.
We are blessed to experience the medicinal properties of the herbs, spices, roots, trees and flowers of plants in our home every day. We can literally shape the mood we want to be in by choosing the oils we know will produce a quantifiable, specific impact on our brains and on our bodies. Now how empowering is THAT?
My study of these oils doesn't stop, and this defines my work ethic as I help others unlock the powers of essential oils in their lives. The research keeps showing us that plant medicine is powerful and is being "accepted" more into the lives of medical practitioners, as well as everyday families looking for natural, easy, affordable solutions to their health issues.
This past year hasn't been perfect, with its many ups and downs. There have been financial upsets, my mother is struggling with her health, and one of our cats ran away, and never came back. Oh my heart!
"What you focus on, expands."
This has been the saying that has kept me pushing forward all year long, and luckily we celebrated multiple wins too. My daughter went to Morocco for six weeks, my eldest son did summer business school, I spoke at a powerful women's networking group called Wine Women and Wealth monthly, my youngest son made marching band, I began this blog, the story that I wrote made front cover of Business Travel Executive magazine ....
I have my sanity, my family, my home and my health. The common thread throughout everything has been consistent application of my oils....and no doubt they didn't just "assist" or "help", but I believe they CARRIED me, alongside the Grace of God. I have many goals ahead, but the best goals are those that are divinely inspired in faith, and not forced by the pressures of the world. Knowing the difference between the two is where we can falter and get confused, and not allow wisdom to enter.
Here's hoping Lady Wisdom will stick around for this birthday year too :)
